Web 2.0 tools benefit the teacher and the student in a variety of ways.  What Web 2.0 tools are you familiar with and how do you use them in your classroom?

  2. Emily, this is a really great link. Kathy Schrock has come amazing resources! I love that there is a list of some of the tools available to assess knowledge at each of the different levels of Bloom's! I'm definitely bookmarking this list as a resource to come back to when I'm looking for a new/different way to assess student work.

  3. I am the most familiar with Edmodo. The teachers at WES use it in a variety of ways. Some classes post assignments, post threads, and or post activities they've done in class. One of our primary teachers uses Edmodo to interact with another class across the district. Another primary teacher uses Edmodo for students to post assignments. I use Edmodo with other Learning Specialists and Curriculum Specialists to share documents, ideas, thoughts, and resources.

  4. I have thought about using Edmodo next year with my students. I think because our students do not have computer access at home that it will be a struggle - but one I am ready to tackle (I will ave to provide time in the classroom). I need to check to see if it is on our blocked list (so much is nowadays). Thanks for reminding me about the program and the many ways your school uses it.

  5. I have never heard of Edmono but now I am intrigued. I will definitely look into this and see how my students can access and utilize this technology to help with learning needs.
