National Sibling Day

National Sibling Day - I am blessed to be able to call Kandi, Liberty, and Shema my sisters! They have been my best friend since day 1 and we are still close! I am thankful that they never give up on me, they encourage me, support me, love me, and push me on...I love them!

Masters Class

On August 25, 2012, I offically graducated from Lesley University with my Masters in Integrating Technology in Education.  It was a lot of work and a lot of information was gained.  Today I sit and ponder all that I have learned.  Have I used it to its full advantage?  Can I improve my teaching?  Can I improve my student's learning?  What can I do to make my students more technology savvy?  We have approximately 40 days left of school - and every day is precious to the future of our students and to my school.  With this understanding, my new goal for the next days are to integrate as much technology into my students learning and into my teaching.  Join me as I continue this learning process with my students.

Tagxedo turns words into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text.

We used tagxedo when we research animals and/or habitats.  Students researched their topic.  They then took the words from their research to create a picture of the topic.  They were assessed on their use of color and choice of design to represent their topic.  Below is an example of my students work.

Web 2.0 Research Tools

In my Pinterest searching I came across this website and thought it to be helpful. In the short time I have been in this class there have been many Web 2.0 tools that have been discussed that I did not know about. In this guide written by M. Embi, explains what each tool is and how to use it. Hope you can find some use for it.
